About me

Nairobi, Kenya

Hey, I’m Eric Njuguna. I help teams turn tangled requirements into reliable software, useful data systems, and AI that earns its keep. I ask the awkwardly useful questions early, so we build the right thing before polishing the wrong one.

How I Get From “We Need an App” to a Useful Plan

  • - Ask what is actually stuck
  • - Build around real workflows
  • - Make it dependable
Let’s talk it through

Start with the knot

We get clear on the problem, the people affected, and what “better” should look like. Fewer assumptions now means fewer “wait, that’s not what we meant” moments later.

Build for Tuesday

Good software has to survive ordinary working days, not just look impressive in a demo. I shape the solution around real users, real data, and the constraints already in the room.

Leave it standing

Reliability, clear handover, and room to grow matter. The goal is a system your team can keep using after the launch confetti has been swept away.

Away from the keyboard

Quick feet.
Clear head.

Badminton is my reset button: quick reactions, patient rallies, and just enough friendly competition to keep things interesting.

It’s a good counterweight to desk work. And unlike a tricky bug, the shuttle gives immediate feedback when I’ve missed.

a few good questions

  • What can you help me build?
Reliable software, data systems that make information useful, and practical AI. We’ll start by getting clear on the problem and what a useful outcome looks like.
  • How do we get started?
Pick a time for a conversation, send me a WhatsApp, or email me. We can talk through the context and decide on a sensible next step.
  • Where are you based?
I’m based in Nairobi, Kenya. The first step can happen wherever you are: by email, WhatsApp, or a booked call.
  • Do you work on data and AI too?
Yes. I work across software, data, and AI, with a focus on solutions that fit the actual work instead of adding a new dashboard-shaped chore.
  • What happens after we talk?
I’ll clarify the problem, constraints, and possible next steps. If there’s a good fit, we can shape the work from there—no mystery process or surprise project-budget quiz.
